Yes, ladies and gentlemen, you've no doubt heard all of the reports that are flying around the internet about agreements between the National Football League players and owners on various different subjects, such as the rookie wage scale and other sticking points.

Well, now Liz Mullen of Sports Business Journal. . .an entity that has been doing a hell of a job covering this entire mess. . .comes the best news of all.

And by "global settlement," I'm pretty sure what they mean is "all the I's dotted and all the T's crossed."

As in "we're awfully freaking close to having football again."

We'll try to keep things updated as the day progresses today. Keep in mind, Liz Mullen is not saying that a global settlement is likely. . .just that it's a possibility. Hopefully that possibility will become a reality.
