Especially with the Williamses suspended. Maybe there’s a FA signing at DT coming later this week? Otherwise this doesn’t make much sense.

even if they’re looking to free up money to re-sign Pat Williams, they still need depth. Right now I think all they have is Evans, Guion, and Ballard, correct?

Since teams can’t cut players till Thursday at 4PM EST…

Have they just informed him he will be cut so he can start shopping around? But on that hand can he really shop around if he is still under contract? Wouldn’t that fall under tampering? Not that they would charge it, but they could in theory…

I imagine that's the case.

Teams have begun notifying players as a courtesy that they will be released. It’s not official, but it’s gonna happen.

Yes... strange, yet a bit worrisome...

I have been on the train that said we didn’t need particular help at DT… Figuring that Kennedy & Guion would be fine with help from the LB’s while KWILL was on suspension… Now I’m a bit curious… they must have somebody in mind… A bit scary, hopefully they have a good plan!

Very strange to me

I thought Kennedy would be filling Pat’s role this season. I don’t think resigning Pat is a good idea. This might be a move to free up money for someone else, not sure.
