1. We've got Ryan Longwell for four more years. So, the rare times we do march into enemy territory, we can at least get the three points (!). A very reliable kicker, and nothing can sink a team like a shaky field goal game (see: 2002 Vikings).

2. Well, the Seahawks are stealing our guys again, this time Tarvaris Jackson and Sidney Rice. Good riddance to T-Jack, but Rice (providing good health) will be a huge loss. Without a deep threat to stretch opposing defenses and keep them honest, it may look like the 2007/2008 Vikings out there.
One cautionary tale for Seattle: During T-Jack's career in Minny, he had guys like Kelly Holcomb, Brooks Bollinger, Joe Webb, and Gus Frerotte start when he couldn't get the job done. Good luck.
