Footsteps...
Yes, simply because no news about a new stadium may appear in your local Minnesota paper and your shorts are now twisted in granny knots yearning for wideouts does not mean that those objects in your rearview mirror are not much larger than they appear.
A word to the wise is sufficient (meaning: please watch your step and your elected officials like a hawk).
Sure, there are opponents to everything, but as Don Henley once sang, "the wolf is always at your door."
FYI, here "fair and balanced and without any cell phone tapping" is exactly what other people are reading this week on a Planet Hollywood, far, far away:

Time waits for no man. Don't wait until the emperor to reveals the fully operational Death Star and sets the crosshairs of it on you, because there's plenty of room at the Hotel California...

He's talking about not resting on the stadium issue
Call your local represenitive, senator, and the govenor and tell them to get a stadium deal done or their done!
Did you see the film clip
where Ponder was introduced to Gov. Dayton when they both appeared on KSTP? Dayton welcomed Ponder to Minnesota and said he was looking forward to seeing him on the field with the Vikings. I was quite surprised when Dayton then said “now we’ve got to get you into a new stadium”, and joked about the condition of the Metrodome. I would have expected Dayton to try to avoid those issues like the plague, and I could not believe that he brought them up. As for Ponder; he showed his intelligence and understanding that he is a representative of the Viking organization by just making polite comments and small jokes, but you could almost see him wondering to himself what he could, or should not, say on the subject.
In any event, I questioned whether Dayton’s remarks didn’t show his honest intention to pursue the stadium now that the dust is settling from the budgetary crisis and shutdown. I suppose, however, that it’s just as likely that behind closed doors he is sneering “Stadiums? We don got to show ju no stinkin’ stadiums!.”
Ya you betcha...
The Treasure of Sierra Madre won’t be the only treasure found in California if people keep awaiting those mysterious lights at the end of the tunnel. There are two trains in the tunnel, both westbound.
