Other sites make me like the Daily Norseman even more.

I was just surfing the Web looking at Vikings' articles and noticed some nicely decorated (i.e. picture) articles at the Bleacher Reporter.  The first article was "Top 15 Biggest Disappointments and Busts in Vikings History."  I was a little diappointed to see their focus on Eramus James' terrible stats without mentioning his injury problems.  I was also surprised to see Dwayne Rudd mentioned as a Top 15 disappointment.

The next article I read, dated August 25, was "5 Minnesota Vikings Who Need to Step it Up or Face the Chopping Block."  Here's their list:  Jaymar Johnson, Lorenzo Booker, Rhett Bohmar, Ryan D'Imperio and Jim Kleinsasser.  Okay.  First, let me remind you that this article was dated just two days ago.  Lorenzo Booker couldn't be having a better camp.  We need three backs, and he's solidly the third back.  He also was our best return guy last year.  Jaymar's having a great camp.  Though light on the receptions in the game, but it's pretty clear at this stage that he's likely to be our punt return guy.  During the offseason, I figured that Kleinsasser was at risk of being cut, but I don't think that's the case now.  Shank is having hamstring problems which could be a problem all season.  Our new, rookie TE can't block worth beans.  And our O-line needs blocking help from anyone and everyone.  Plus their Musgrove's two TE sets.  Kleinsasser makes the team no question now.  As if I wasn't annoyed enough, I noticed that Lorenzo Booker seems to be wearing an Eagles jersey in his photo, and Bohmar is wearing Giants jersey.

After that I briefly looked at the article entitled, "Vikings Williams to Miss Rest of Pre-Season."  It's an article about Kevin Williams.  Good so far.  Unfortunately, the picture for the article is a picture of Pat Williams.  At that point I stopped reading.

Lastly, I noticed that the Bleacher Reporter used the same "Joe Webb eluding the Lion's Suh" picture as our dear Daily Norseman folks just used.  I guess that's what you call "flattery."

Anyway, apparently the Daily Norseman has re-set my expectations on what is worthy reporting of Vikings news.  The Bleacher Report comes up short.  I suspect that a 8 year old who was an actual Vikings fan would be able to do a better job.  Thanks Daily Norseman and its contributing fans for the quality of your information.  I learn something new virtually every day.
