PFT is so inconsistent...
In a recent article about Larry, his dad said "The Vikings are clearing cap space" yet, the same website reports that we are still 5 million over. (August 3 post)
Before the CBA was finished ESPN's John Clayton report that the Vikings were about 5 million over, and this was before we made any moves. We cut williams, mckinnie and restructure BB. (which should have been enough). I understand we signed a few players such as Mcnabb, Jenkins, longwell etc. Did these players put us back over?
Also, we are trying to restructure AP and Greenway to save room.... is it me or are there some issues with the adding abilities of some? If someone understands this situation, please clarify.
As much as i'd love to see Larry in purple, it wont mean anything if our O-line, which is being called the worst in football, doesn't improve. Allegedly Flozell "the hotel" is still available along with Jared Gaither (which is risky)... but why trade for Larry when you have Zero line help.
Also, there's been a lot of talk about AP reaching 2500 yards. As much as I would love to see this, lets stop putting are cart in front of the horse. The cart (AP) will only go as far as the horse (o-line). The line has been in decline for the past two years, so why will AP get to 2500? I hate being negative, but I call 'em as I see 'em.
