I know I'll probably get ripped for saying this, but I don't have high hopes for the Vikings this year. I know that quick turnarounds are indeed very possible in today's NFL and I will still enjoy watching every Sunday, but I'm able to separate my hopes from my predictions and still enjoy the experience.
One thing I'm excited about as the season begins, though, is the "starting fresh" under Leslie Frazier...
After just a few games back in 2006, I knew I wouldn't be a big fan of Brad Childress...
...and my opinion never changed during his tenure. I even strongly believe that Mike Tice was a better coach than Chilly (but that is a different topic already discussed by me on this blog).
Basically, I never had much respect for the Childress Reign, and thus am intrigued by the clean slate under Frazier. I don't think we ever know exactly which coaches will succeed and which will succumb to the various pressures of the job, but I'm hopeful in Frazier's case.
