Around SBN: Devils Beat Rangers, Head To Stanley Cup Finals

Early Candidate For Tweet Of The Year

Recap will be coming later on. . .have some errands to run with Mrs. Gonzo now that the Vikings game is over.

However, I did want to make sure you all got this one. Pretty much sums up everything, in my opinion.

Status: he's the latest victim

of one of the dirtiest defenses in the NFL, which coaches its players to lead with their helmet on every hit, and aim for the hips, knees or head.

it wasn't a dirty play

Toby got tangled up before contact and was standing more upright when he got hit. Every time a guy gets hurt, we can’t claim it was a dirty play ala APs injury

Billick: "What did McNabb do to deserve being benched?"
Answer: He upset PETA by killing every worm he came across on a football field.

I don't think our O-Line is as bad as everyone thinks...

I think having a couple of real good cover corners and a legitimate deep threat is what we need. Our play calling is the real problem, how many boot-legs do we have to run with Percy out of the backfield? If we shore up the O-Line as everyone is calling for and no good corners in this pass happy league… We will find ourselves falling behind in games and defenses pinning back their ears to rush our QB. There isn’t any O-Line that can defend that. Get a new O-Coord or keep the same one but completely start from scratch with a concept of throw to set up the run.

not to be contradictory...

But yeah….they really are that bad. Deep threats do no good if you have no time to throw it.

or

if the deep threat doesn’t even have time to go deep.

Or, as in today's game...

Deep threats do no good if there’s never a deep route called.

Seriously, a 15 yd in was the deepest route called on that 3rd and 21.

Run or Pass...

…either one needs a solid O-line.

FB needs holes to run through and a pocket passer needs a pocket.

If the line isn’t fixed, start Spiderman because he can at least run through/away from some tacklers and avoid getting beat to a pulp.

K-Sauce is many things, but NEVER a loser

And Sid Hartmann is a douche-bag.

Ah, ah,
We come from the land of the ice and snow,
From the midnight sun where the hot springs blow.
The hammer of the gods will drive our ships to new lands,
To fight the horde, singing and crying: Valhalla, I am coming!
SKOL!
