and by election day, I don't mean anything to do with primary season. I used to be big in the political field, but now i've gone through 2 elections and no significant day to day changes for me, i'll wait until there's an actual viable candiddate before making decisions ... ok, now that i hit 50 words, i can actually move on to the real post.

As many of our Viking faithful know, today is deadline day for proposals to be in. We were always under the impression that the Vikings wanted Arden Hills, but lately have "warmed" to sites in Minneapolis. I read that as, "we want to look like we've given everyone an equal share, but really Minneapolis, you've had 10 years to figure this out, screwed us out of past deals and never came to bad when we needed you, so now, we're going to do our dealing with Arden Hills in private, make everyone look like we're entertaining offers, and we'll show you how a real partner does things.

meanwhile, this new development from Shakopee is intriguing, and had it come out in May, i would have probably backed it a little more. It seems like they're playing the "if everyone else has a 'plan' we prolly should too" game. They seem to have the most tangible numbers, as they don't have to lie on projections of revenues like the Minneapolis sites do, but just saying you have a location and showing some numbers isn't the way to win over the legislator.

so that brings me to the poll. Who do you think will have the best proposal and will win the governer's heart (maybe it's more like the dating game instead of election day ... )
