PrintGood afternoon there, gang. It's Saturday, and that means we have two Divisional Playoff games for everyone's viewing pleasure this afternoon.
In the opener, set to kick off on FOX at 3:30 PM Central, the New Orleans Saints will travel out west to take on the San Francisco 49ers. Should be an interesting contrast in styles, as New Orleans' high-powered offense takes on what is the best defense in the NFC. Weather doesn't look like it's going to be a factor in this one, with temperatures sitting in the upper 50s/lower 60s and no precipitation to be found.
In the nightcap on CBS at about 7 PM Central time, the Denver Broncos head to Fawxboro to take on the New England Patriots. To recap the coverage leading up to this one, Tebow Brady Tebow Brady Brady Tebow Brady Tebow Tebow Brady Brady Tebow Brady Tebow Tebow Brady. Also, Bill Belichick.

They made a play that depends on an illegal pick. Then after running it once and getting flagged, they went right back to the SAME play. That’s on the OC (which I think is Harbaugh still).

But why did the Saints switch to man at the end of the game when Smith clearly couldn’t throw on there zone/prevent defence. They basically gave the game away.

Any QB can, or at least should, get the ball to the receiver in a 1 on 1 and it’s up to the receiver to grab it. Tebow shouldn’t get all the credit but he does.
I will say Tebow himself will be the first person to say that’s wrong. I like him as a person. I just hate him as a player.

It’s a team game. Tebow rightly deflects praise from him to the team. That doesn’t mean he doesn’t deserve ANY credit when he makes a play either.

It was never an issue before. Then it was with Tebow. There is such a thing as pushing it in peoples face. A lot of them do it so much they get insulted just from offending others because they don’t believe.

Musgrave pulls it together during the off-season. There are a lot of neat ideas here and there that would work with some tweaks.

We saw it twice or more a game, every game
He'll have to work on his:
1) play design
2) Figuring out how to run his front line to protect.
3) Quit running so many trick plays and figure out how to execute regular passing plays
4) Get his WR’s downfield
5) Get his TE’s out of pass protection and up the field
6) Take advantage of momentum during the game
7) Use the clock a bazillion times better
8) Quit trying to throw everything to Aro or a back out of the backfield

Belichick can take advantage of zone defenses like no other
He and Brady have an advantage because others, like Rodgers, use more of the short West Coast offense and don’t have as high a ratio of throwing downfield to rack up yards.

The play design is infinitely superior, though, to start with
They don’t run the slant routes and hook routes of the primitive West Coast offense like we’ve been trying to do for the last 6 years… almost all of what they run is a downfield straight route…
