Play Super Bowl Squares To Benefit Jared Allen's Homes For Wounded Warriors

Well, after some deliberation on my part, I have decided to go ahead and open up the Super Bowl Squares pool to benefit Jared Allen's Homes for Wounded Warriors.

The board is located right here. When you get to the site, you will need the following information:

Username: dnh4ww
Password: skol

Those are in all lower case, just like they are above.

Once again, the cost is $20 per square. The numbers will not be drawn until the grid is full. In order to pay for the squares, PayPal really is the best and most convenient way to make that happen. Our PayPal address is the same as the site address, that being Daily Norseman (all one word) at GMail dot com. If you're really, really, really opposed to PayPal for whatever reason, shoot me an e-mail suggesting an alternate means of payment, and I'll see if we can't make it work.

When you send the money via PayPal, be sure to choose "other" as your reason for payment, or else PayPal will charge a fee for the money sent. This is bad. Also, I ask that you please commit the money before you fill in your squares. To make it easier, please use your DN user name when filling in the squares (or, if you're finding this from outside of DN and you're not a member, use your name) and leave a message in the PayPal notes indicating what your DN username is, or the name you used to mark your spot(s) on the grid. That way I can mark you down as "paid" in the software that we're using for this endeavor.

Remember, the money will be split down the middle. If all 100 squares get sold, we will have $2000 overall. $1000 will be going to Jared Allen's Homes for Wounded Warriors, and the other $1000 will be divided between the four winners of the pool:

First quarter = $200
Second quarter = $200
Third quarter = $200
Final score = $400

Yours truly will be keeping exactly $0 of the proceeds from this contest. All of it goes to either charity or the folks that have the correct numbers.

If we fill up this board and enough interest has been generated, we can always start up a second board. We might even make the second board cheaper.

I don't see why not

After all, there’s no bias towards anybody since the numbers aren’t drawn until after the grid is full. Not as though the main writers are going to get a “beneficial” spot on the grid or anything.

Yeah, pretty much the only person in the entire world that is not eligible to compete in this is me. Since I’m the one running the pool, I’m not allowed to keep any of the potential proceeds that come from it.

But yeah, everyone else is eligible to join in.

If you send the money via PayPal, put “OTHER” as the reason for sending the money. Otherwise, PayPal is going to charge a fee for the money sent.

and if you do purchase then goods it appears to let you do it without a fee

I think it depends on how "verified" you are with PayPal

My bank account is verified via PP so I think most of the options don’t charge a fee for me. Sorry for the bad info.

I dont think you can say what are the best numbers all it takes is one saftey or a few field goals and numbers will be all jacked up. I do enjoy these boards and as a person currently serving in the army I am happy to support this cause.
