NFL could block Vikings' stay at TCF Bank Stadium
Well thats just great... sounds like we are starting to run out of options here.. according the pioneer press "The NFL is annoyed with the idea of the Minnesota Vikings playing up to three seasons at TCF Bank Stadium. There is the $67 million financial hit, not to mention potential logistical nightmares while waiting for Metrodome 2.0" most of you know by now that I have never been a big fan of building the new stadium in minneapolis.. but christ all mighty this is getting rediculous.. If Minneapolis is the only site that will work, than so be it,, as long as they stay here in MN.... .. but now this??? can anything just go smoothly for once!!!!!

oh come on
NFL piss off, you should be the last ones threatening a new stadium
"You can write articles and do whatever you want, you can break down every player. Good, bad or ugly. But we just aren't good enough as a team, as a group. Offensively, defensively and special teams, from the No. 1 on the roster to the last man on the roster. We just aren't good enough. It's as simple as that." - Chad Greenway
I could see this more of a NFL power play
Considering the loss the Vikings and NFL would take from a 3 year stint at the TCF. Perhaps the NFL would up their ante a percentage of the loss they know they would take if the new stadium was to be built at the Metrodump site in order to get the new stadium built at the Arden Hills site.
This could be a win win win situation for the Vikings, NFL and fans of the Vikings. The only losers would be Minneapolis and well screw them anyhow for sitting on this for this long.

Its kind of ridiculous
That the NFL can come in and order around politicians. They’re a Sports League for pete’s sake.
Its kind of ridiculous that politicians try to boss around the NFL, its a sports league for pete’s sake! I always love it when you see some senator (like Spector in PA) who shows up with legislation about the NFL…like they don’t have better things to think about!

No one is ordering anyone else around.
It is all negotiations and the State of Minnesota has been acting like assholes. There is nothing wrong with the NFL demonstrating that they re bringing benefits to MN and that reasonable negotiations are required. The MN government is acting as if they are giving and not benefiting. It is time for them to get real.
The NDSU Bison rock.
The NFL will make $6 Billion dollars this year.
$22M/year for 3 years shouldn’t be an issue for a league that will bring in $18B over that same three year period.

It is not greed. It is business.
NFL has every right to do what is best for the league. I don’t believe they want Vikings to move out of Minnesota…unless, it becomes financial liability (more than it already is) for them. Concentrating half a dozen teams in one corner of the country has no advantage for them. But if staying in MN means keep taking financial hits, they will not hesitate for a second…as is their right.
