Vikings Stadium Scenario

First let me say that I live outside of Minnesota and have bled purple for 40 years and will continue to do so as long as they are known as the Minnesota Vikings and I depend on the Daily Norseman and Pioneer Press online along with a couple other sites for my Vikings news.

I have been reading that the NFL LA experiment might be dead for 2012. I also read that the Metrodome site is the likely pick for the Vikings new home and now I read that the NFL is not happy about the Vikings substitute home while the new stadium is built.

The Vikings said no lease will be signed until a stadium deal is in place and given what I have read about the MN Legislature, they would love to see this problem be tackled later, i.e. not at all. Could the following scenario happen and it would be interesting to see just what would happen.

Let's say the Legislature stalls and no deal for a new stadium is in place and since the Vikings said they will not sign a lease, where will they play in 2012?? Ford Field in Detroit?? Lambeau Field?? In Chicago?? Personally, I think a stadium deal will be put in place, maybe not at the site Mr. Wilf would like but I really think the Vikings will play in Minnesota in 2012 but if this scenario I laid out comes to fruition, it would be very interesting to see just what will happen.

Would be interesting to see what happens. I think the Vikings would end up signing one year leases before the season starts until its done. There is no way they play on the road all year.
