Around SBN: Devils Beat Rangers, Head To Stanley Cup Finals

Hey guys, just figured I'd share. I attended the week of practices at the Senior Bowl this week, and thought the Vikings' staff did a great job.

Awesome work Jimmy

And thanks for sharing this with us. We can use all the positive thinking we can get around here!

Oh hey, I think you asked me about Casey Hayward? I didn’t answer because it was long since off the front page over there. I really liked him. I thought Jenkins and Boykin were clearly 1 and 2 there, and if you ignore Dennard (who left with an injury), I’d put Bentley and Hayward sort of in that next tier among the players at the Senior Bowl.

Thanks for the feedback

One of the things I really like about Hayward is that he is tough and a sound tackler, which makes him an ideal cover 2 corner. But he also has a nose for the ball, evidenced by the INT he made in the Senior Bowl.

I heard Dennard was really tearing up the WR’s in stock blocking drills. But I also read that he was pretty stiff out of his breaks. Do you see Dennard as a Cover 2 corner only?

Yeah, there was one play where the Cal receiver (name is escaping me right now) just ran a straight go. No, stutter step or anything… just a straight fly pattern. Dennard lost a full step when he turned out of his backpedal and the WR just smoked him. It was ugly. Now, I don’t know if that was due in part to him being banged up or not, but from the limited look I got at him, he didn’t appear to be a glue kind of guy like Jenkins.

I repeat, FRAZIER and SINGLETARY the SKY is not FALLING !!!

Thanks Jimmy, I could not afford to pay for a better endorsement of what I have been saying.. I think I also saw your scouting report. I need to find it and have that handy come draft day
