My thought on the NFL Draft 2013...

I realize that its only about 7 weeks into the season but im already looking for another great draft coming up in 2013 for Rick Spielman and the Minnesota Vikings. We capitalized on the 2012 draft with some young players who are doing well this season for us. Matt Kalil- Is now a very solid player on our offensive line, if not the best Offensive lineman we have. Harrison Smith- Amazing tackler, Hard hitter ( I wouldn't want to get hit by him) good in coverage but would like him to create more turnovers. Josh Robinson- This guy is fast and already has an interception in limited playing time. Rhett Ellison- Good blocks and good receiver when he gets the ball thrown his way. Here is some options i think we need to consider for the upcoming 2013 NFL Draft! I don't know whats going to happen the rest of the season but ill just say we are picking 21st overall.

RD 1- Sylvester Williams- DT *6"3*. Obviously we all know that we need help on our defensive line next to Kevin Williams and Sylvester could help solidify our run defense. Our run defense has improved this year as we are in the top 10 but with a 1st round talent in Williams i think we would go back to within the top 3 run defenses and would make other teams 1 dimensional, which could be good knowing our secondary is finally learning how to start playing lights out

RD 2- Marquess Wilson- WR *6"4*- This guy would be a stud and great pick up if he is here when we pick in the 2nd round. We need someone to help stretch the field and if Jerome Simpson can prove hes worthy we would have a upgraded and more threatening receiving core with Harvin, Simpson, Wilson, Rudolph.

RD 3- Chase Thomas-ILB *6"4*- We all have been talking about how we can upgrade our linebackers unit with Jasper Brinkley in the middle. Thomas hopefully would give us an upgrade and prove he's worthy as a middle linebacker, I think he'd have a good shot at beating Brinkley out in training camp.

RD 4 (1st Pick)- Braden Hansen- OG *6"6* - Charlie Johnson is just not cut out to be a starting lineman in the NFL. Hansen would be a great pickup and I believe he would take over for Johnson at LG and with Johnson, Kalil, Loadholt... We would have one of the best offensive lines in the league.

RD 4 (2ND PICK)- Quinton Patton- WR *6'2* - As I have noticed in the NFL, you can never have to much talent on one team. Patton would give us great depth and probably would earn some playing time. We need more young receivers that could provide help to this team.

RD 5- Cameron Meredith- DE *6'4* - Don't know much about this guy but i know that the Vikings will probably pull the trigger on a DE in 2013. I don't see it being a high pick as we still do have Jared Allen and Brian Robison, but we will start to look for options for when Allen retires or leaves in free agency.

Thanks for reading, hope you enjoyed my post. Feel free to comment with any ideas you might have for the 2013 NFL draft.. Let's all have a great time the rest of the NFL 2012 season, still lots of time left, lots of amazing plays to see. SKOL VIKES!!!!
