Cardinals At Vikings: Fourth Quarter Open Thread

The Minnesota Vikings are just fifteen minutes away from moving to 5-2, as they lead the Arizona Cardinals after three quarters of play by a score of .

The third quarter got off to a very nice start for the Vikings, as rookie Harrison Smith got his first ever NFL interception, and wound up with his first ever NFL score. The pick-6 covered 31 yards and put the Vikings up 21-7. It was also the first interception returned for a touchdown by the Vikings since Jared Allen had one in the 2010 season finale against the Detroit Lions at Ford Field on January 2, 2011.

The Cardinals had an opportunity to answer on a drive that put them inside the Minnesota red zone, but Antoine Winfield snuffed out a bootleg by John Skelton on fourth-and-2, forcing the Cardinals to turn the ball over on downs.

Through three quarter of play, Adrian Peterson has 122 yards on just 14 carries, his 29th game of 100 yards or more as a member of the Minnesota Vikings. That ties him with Robert Smith for the Vikings' all-time team record in that category.

As we start the fourth quarter, the Cardinals have the ball with a 2nd-and-3 at the Minnesota 40-yard line. But, they still have a 21-7 lead as we move on to the fourth quarter of play.

Come and join us for the conclusion to this one, ladies and gentlemen!
