Movember...year two!

A lot can change in the course of a year. The Vikings' fans went from worried about moving to LA to hardly remembering the stadium issue. Christian Ponder has become the clear cut number one quarterback (Yes he has don't try and say Webb is going to start) and maybe most exciting....The Vikes have gone from...well pretty much awful to relevant again. Yes I do think that they have a good chance at a playoff spot but this is besides the point.

What I really want to talk about is mustaches. I tried doing this last year and had a few people bite, but not as many as I would have hoped. I know that the Mustache Movember is more of a hockey thing, but as most people know there probably isn't going to be a NHL season this year so they really need as much support as possible.

The point of Movember is to grow a wicked awesome mustache (or a pretty nasty one like mine was last year) and to raise money for prostate and testicular cancer awareness and research.

To highlight the importance of what I am doing, take a look at these statistics: • 1 in 6 men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime • This year 242,000 new cases of prostate cancer will be diagnosed

• This year 8,290 men will be diagnosed with testicular cancer

Pretty scary stuff there!

As anyone who pays attention to just about any news or sports knows, October is breast cancer awareness month. So we get our girly on and wear pink for the ladies. Don't get me wrong, I am in 100% support of this cause! It is a great cause and I don't want to knock on it at all, but as October comes to and end that means that November is here so we get to get our manliness back. Men...we get to grow that mustache that we deep down always want to grow but our lady counterparts wont allow. And women...we all know that even deeper down there's something you find irresistibly sexy about a mustache. Yeah my girlfriend denies it too, but we all know it is there.

So I want to cordially invite everyone here that reads this to either A. Man up (or woman up) and join my team, raise lots of money, and grow an awesome 'stache (women we'd prefer if you'd just support us) or if you can't grow a mustache for various reasons ie. work, lady wont let you, you're too embarrassed etc. ill give the second link to donate if you wish. I don't want to be that guy obnoxiously asking for money so don't feel compelled.

Join my team here

Or donate here

I hope you give this a look over for the "fellas"
