I just have to comment. I played my share of football (single wing version); played both U.S. and the 'foreign' version (we call it soccer) when it was a new NCAA sport. I even coached a year of high school ball and a year of “club” football at my grad school (where I learned not to play contact football at the age of 42!). What do I say about the recent game with Chicago, and still be polite? Not much. Look, Leslie Frasier (sp) is still learning, just as Tice was. But they let Tice go. That, frankly, was a dumb move especially considering where he is now. For those who aren't aware, he's Chicago's OFFENSIVE COORDINATOR! No, don't let Leslie go, let him learn a bit more. But do something about that team! It has the weapons, for gosh' sake! Even a decent QB; two of them in fact. But Ponder and Webb are also still learning. Please DO NOT depend on their passing (though they could use some decent plays to call – attention Mr. Tice). Use your running game better, Vikes. Platoon the QBs and the RBs (especially them so Gerhart and Peterson are not worn down), put Harvin in the mix as a utility man, and involve the whole receiving corps, not just a couple. Mix all your weapons, shake them up (do not stir) and add Blair Walsh to have a real chance at winning again. Maybe going, in a year or two (not much more) for the whole thing. Look, I saw them as a 9-7 team at the start. I still think that's possible. They absolutely CAN beat the Bears and the Pack at MOA Field, the Rams should fall as well. Now, as an outside chance, they might win one other game, but they SHOULD NOT lose other than as I have predicted here. Get 100 + yards out of Peterson and Harvin in the same game and then we really have a chance. 'Nuff said? GO VIKES! And get ready for your next, winning Super Bowl.
