Funny how a couple bad losses can transform a team from a hungry group of overachievers to a lousy bunch of bums, isn't it? The Vikings were mainstays in the top 10 of my NFL power rankings for a few weeks, but now they're barely hanging onto the top half despite their respectable 5-4 record.
I dropped the Vikes 5 spots to #16 after their second consecutive loss. Judging from the reaction around these parts since Sunday, I could have put them lower without much backlash.
The Vikings are now my lowest ranked team in the NFC North. I have the Bears 4th, the Packers 5th, and the Lions all the way up to 13th after winning their third game in four weeks. Obviously, the game on Sunday will go a long way towards how those two teams are ranked next week.
