I have a few points I'd like to make that I feel are getting overlooked. First off is that the Vikings are a very young football team. Yes at a few positions we are old but overall we are young. Because of this we are a completely different team on the road vs. at home. It should not be a surprise to anyone that we went into Chicago, Green Bay, Washington, Seattle, and Indy and looked like garbage. But yet after every one of those blowouts the fans are ready to pull the starting QB, fire the head coach or GM. It is just part of the growing pains we are going to have to get through as fans. I know it's been noted that this Vikings football team is night and day better than last year. Our front office has done an amazing job of turning this football team around in a short time. BUT... we still get fans who think they are GM material and scrutinize anything they can find. If you would've told me last year that we would've beaten the Lions twice, 49ers, and the Bears I would've laughed. Now when we take care of the Pack at home I will absolutely consider this season a success. We are a few offseason moves away from being a very good football team. Please stop forgetting the amazing strides this team has made in just one year. STOP IT!

Next I am amazed on how foolish our fans are being about the quarterback position. I know we are Vikings fans and are used to having a new qb every season but the fact of the matter is it has NEVER worked! I am really lost on what to think about Ponder but I do know one thing, it is simply too early to pull the plug on him. He has still not been given a fair analysis. Last year no quarterback in the history of the league could have played well. And this year, he is currently playing with a good run blocking but mediocre pass protecting O Line. And he does not have a receiver active that would even make another NFL teams roster. Ponder is not missing open receivers... he simply is not. If he was missing open people it would be shown over and over on replays. I have never seen a more sorry bunch of receivers... There is aboslutely no seperation! Now people on here are excited about Jenkins' play??? That is so baffling to me? He is never open... once in a great while he is open on a slant but that is it. He will not make an NFL team next year. I am not ready to say that Ponder is our future but I am also not ready to pull the plug. We have to sign a big time receiver so the analysis process can come to a conclusion. Until then.... we will just be a run often offense.

LASTLY - There really is no place like home... with the holidays approaching it definitely makes me realize that even more. I know the Minnesota Vikings agree that there is no place like home. Now well someone please remind Larry Fitzgerald that same thing! Let's get the stud back in MN where he belongs. We need a huge offseason move like Larry to get this team on the right track!!!!
