AP not in top 3 of MVP Race??

Yes, BSPN is at it again. Mike Sando has posted his MVP watch list, with bloggers from each division voting. Naturally, one would assume that Adrian Peterson would be in one of the top two spots with Peyton Manning. But nope. He's fourth. The sad thing about this is, they just can't get enough of Packers. SMH.

Here's how the voting went.

Nope. Adrian Peterson's name is no where in sight. Here's the rankings.

Quarterback | Denver Broncos ... Next Game: 12/16 at BAL ... Last Poll: 1

An eight-game winning streak keeps Manning atop MVP Watch for a ninth consecutive week. He leads the NFL in Total QBR even though others have superior touchdown-to-interception ratios. The ratio for Manning is 16-2 at home. Only Seattle's Russell Wilson has a higher NFL passer rating at home among players with enough attempts to qualify.

Week 14 at OAK

26 36 310 72.2 8.61 29 1 1 93.1

Quarterback | New England Patriots ... Next Game: 12/16 vs. SF ... Last Poll: 2

Brady ranks a close second to Manning in Total QBR. He leads the NFL by that measure from Week 3 to present. That time frame excludes a rough outing against Arizona in Week 2. Brady is 1-2 against the NFC West and 9-1 against everyone else. A victory over San Francisco in Week 15 might be enough to move him past Manning for the top spot.

Week 14 vs. HOU

21 35 296 60.0 8.46 63 4 0 95.6

Running Back | Minnesota Vikings ... Next Game: 12/16 at STL... Last Poll: 4

Peterson has ramped up his production outside the tackles after gashing teams predominantly up the gut for much of the season. He had 11 carries for 97 yards on outside runs to help Minnesota beat the Chicago Bears in Week 14. Perhaps he's feeling more comfortable with his cutting ability following a short timetable for return following knee surgery. Peterson now has 832 yards after contact. Only 16 other players have more yards rushing overall.

Week 14 vs. CHI

31 154 5.0 51 2 2 16 8.0 14 0

Not only is Adrian Peterson not in the top three, but after a Monstrous game of averaging 5 Yards a carry against a top defense, he was then leaped from the 3rd spot by none other than:

Quarterback | Green Bay Packers ... Next Game: 12/16 at CHI ... Last Poll: 5

Rodgers hasn't been running with the ball as frequently this season, but his 27-yard touchdown run against Detroit certainly was well-timed for Green Bay. It helped explain why Rodgers posted the fourth-highest QBR score of Week 14 (82.7) while completing only 58.3 percent of his passes for 173 yards with no touchdowns.

Week 14 vs. DET

14 24 173 58.3 7.21 38 0 0 82.7

Get the pitchforks and lets March to Bristol! This is war!
