Vikings At Packers: Fourth Quarter Open Thread

It was a crazy third quarter at Lambeau Field, to say the least. But as we move to the fourth quarter of play, the Minnesota Vikings now trail the Green Bay Packers by a score of 20-14.

The quarter started with Mason Crosby kicking the ball out of bounds to give Minnesota the ball at the 40-yard line, and a long run by Adrian Peterson gave the Vikings the ball deep in Green Bay territory. Unfortunately, Christian Ponder rolled to his right on second-and-8 and looked for Michael Jenkins in the end zone. However, the ball wound up in the hands of Morgan Burnett for an interception, and the threat was squelched.

The Packers turned that into a 47-yard field goal by Mason Crosby to make the score 14-13. On Green Bay's next protection, Aaron Rodgers was intercepted by Harrison Smith on what can charitably be called an ugly flea-flicker pass. The Vikings couldn't take advantage, however, and the Packers started near midfield.

Four plays later, James Starks went into the end zone from 22 yards out for a Green Bay touchdown to make the score 20-14. It was just the Packers' third rushing touchdown of the season.

After a huge penalty on the Packers put the Vikings deep in Green Bay territory again, Christian Ponder threw another interception to Burnett on the final play of the third quarter to end another scoring threat.

I think I'm just about off the Christian Ponder train. This is unacceptable. Adrian Peterson has 210 rushing yards, and. . .ugh, I can't even talk about it.

Fifteen minutes of football left at Lambeau Field, and the Vikings are down by six points. Can they come back and get the win? Let's find out.
