Alex Smith or Matt Flynn for next year?

I have no doubt that Ponder will not be the QB we all hoped he could be. This team is too talented to waste away trying to develop another hack QB. Alex Smith will most likely be available next year, and he would be a good fit for this team. He's not a stud but he's a game manager who can get it done, and would make this team a legit contender. The other option I see available is Matt Flynn. If ponder plays better before the seasons done, a late round pick for Flynn and an open competition which ponder is sure to lose, it would give us options for next year. I don't see us being able to draft an impact QB, so free agency or trade are the only options. THE VIKINGS OWE IT TO PETERSON

Just as a side note, Webb is not a legit option. In fact he's a step down from ponder. He makes 1 read then tucks the ball and runs. He can plays well when he steps in during the middle of the game and defenses aren't prepared for his style and that's it. It was a mistake keeping him I've Sage.
