Pondering the Percy Problem

When thinking about what will happen between Percy and the Vikes in this upcoming offseason I have two very different thoughts that I believe may be even odds.

Scenario A.

The Vikes know that they must keep their youngest and probably most dangerous playmaker around. They offer him a fair market deal --- (I'd guess between 4 yr 42 mil and 5 yr 55 mil - Garcon and Jackson deals last year). They fire Musgrave for good measure (I believe the right move anyways), because it is quite apparent that Percy's idea for the play calling is much different.

Scenario B.

Percy goes to the highest bidder. Does anyone think Spielman isn't sick enough of Percy's crap to take a 2013 & 2014 package of 3rd rounders (what the Bears gave for Marshall) for Percy? I think he would. Spielman really wants to build this thing through the draft so I can't imagine he wouldn't think about it. Percy is dynamic enough that someone might be in love and offer a couple of seconds or a some sort of package that would be hard to turn down.

The money that were setting aside to pay Percy then goes to grabbing a free agent or two (WR or other) depending on the route. Someone like Greg Jennings or Dwayne Bowe (I doubt Bowe because of the headaches associated with him as well). Jennings may not be a spring chicken anymore, but he has never been a headache and after a couple injury shortened seasons the price may be right. The Packers may not be able to afford him with all of the other players contracts coming up. We then draft a young guy somewhere in the first three rounds...

I could really see the Vikings going either way on this thing...
