As reported over at PFT, Chris Cook returned to practice yesterday, December 6. It was the earliest date that he was allowed under the NFL's new rule which allows players to return to play despite being placed on Injured Reserve earlier in the same season. The Vikings are hopeful that Cook will be back for the game against the Houston Texans later this month. Cook has, at times, displayed the ability to be a true #1 corner. His size and cover skills impressed Viking's scouts when he was coming out of the University of Virginia. Unfortunately he has yet to play a full season in any of his 3 years in the NFL. His rookie season was cut short by 2 meniscus tears and last year he was essentially suspended for the majorty of the season following his arrest after a domestic dispute with his former girlfriend. This year he broke his wrist during a Thursday night game against the Buccaneers.
