Vikings Stadium Debate in Memes
This is too good not to be on the front page--Ted
So as a college student and an avid fan of internet memes and the Vikings and this site I realized the Vikings Stadium debate is ripe for memes. I've posted a couple in some of the other comment sections but have made a bunch - mainly in an attempt to entertain myself, but have decided to share them here for you all.
So here is my narration of the stadium debate - as told through memes
This much has been made clear by Minnesota politicians:
Leading to the very clear conclusion that:
The Vikings were pretty clear about one thing they wanted though:
White Earth Reservation posed a very good proposal:
But as we all know:
Leading us all to wonder:
Of course:
Enjoy these, Feel free to use these, send these to your congressman, entertain your friends or anything else at your own free will.

Funny! I especially like the Willie Wonka one.
You don't tug on Superman's cape
You don't spit into the wind
You don't pull the mask of the Spiderman
And you don't trash talk about him
Magnificent
Well played, sir.
If we can't laugh at ourselves, Packer fans will call us crybabies and we will be forced to kick their tooth in. I really don't want to go to jail (again).

Aaaaand sent to my representative.
This made my day.
(And I hate these “College Meme” pages that are clogging up my damn news feed… Anyone else?)
I love sharing piics with you all but restrain myself because I am 'Good Guy Greg' (Google it).
But this thread seems the right place to unleash hell!*
Pic seems appropriate for the main theme of the thread.

The 1st meme
All of them great
But the first meme could have been preceeded with the quote
“In San Francisco they ‘get it done’ but in Minnesota …. [ ONE DOES NOT SIMPLY BUILD A VIKING STADIUM ]
"Legislative Process"
I don’t have a direct quote but the legislators said they would vote for a stadium AFTER 2012 elections to avoid political consequences. It is sorta like putting a hot button issue in a referendum to wipe their hands clean of “involvement”. Sound familiar?

Substitute Jerry Burns
We all know Jerry Burns didn’t say this because Jerry Burns would’ve not used such kind words. I figured I’d get a few Vikes fans to laugh at that whereas the Clint Eastwood would also make sense but after I posted Clint Eastwood I thought Jerry Burns would be just as funny.
You know...
I’m kind of getting sick of fans ripping Dayton on the stadium. He’s been a consistent supporter, and has always backed state funding. It’s the legislature, team and/or local partner(s) who have always been the problem.
I'll give you lgislature and/or local partners...
but the team?! All the team has done is get put on the back burner time after time.
my personal
Favorite would have to be the woody and buzz

"Censored" Jerry Burns
I’m new at this and it took me a while to finally figure out.

HA!!
Was the pioneer of curse strewn press conferences. Much like he was the pioneer of the West Coast offense.
"You're pissed because we went after a committed guy? Guess what, we got 9 guys who better go do it again. Do it a little harder next time." Ohio State Coach Urban Meyer.
the first pic is perfect
He is very close to making the sign for a$$hole

What Minnesota politicians are actually doing
![]()
every time they hold a forum about the new stadium.
"Everyone who has conducted an expedition will know how ready the world is to do the great injustice of heaping the whole praise or blame for its success or failure on the shoulders of the leader alone."
-Polar Explorer Fridtjof Nansen
