Final First-Round Order For NFL Draft Officially Set

There were two coin flips at today's NFL Combine festivities to determine the final draft order for this year's selection meeting. Those coin flips have both taken place, and the final order for the first round is set.

One of the coin flips was between the Miami Dolphins and the Carolina Panthers to determine the 8th and 9th picks in the first round. Miami won the flip, so they will pick at #8 overall, while the Panthers will select at #9.

The other flip was between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Seattle Seahawks to determine the 11th and 12th picks. Kansas City came out victorious, so they will select at #11, while Seattle will pick at #12.

Ordinarily this wouldn't really be worth pointing out on a Vikings' site, but the Dolphins and the Seahawks are both teams that could potentially be in the market to trade up to Minnesota's spot at #3 if somebody doesn't make a deal with the St. Louis Rams to move up to #2. With the coin flips going the way they did, it just means that Miami would have to give up a little less than originally expected if they want to move up, and Seattle would have to give up a little more.

So, the final order for the first round of the 2012 NFL Draft is as follows:

1) Indianapolis Colts
2) St. Louis Rams
3) Minnesota Vikings
4) Cleveland Browns
5) Tampa Bay Buccaneers
6) Washington Redskins
7) Jacksonville Jaguars
8) Miami Dolphins
9) Carolina Panthers
10) Buffalo Bills
11) Kansas City Chiefs
12) Seattle Seahawks
13) Arizona Cardinals
14) Dallas Cowboys
15) Philadelphia Eagles
16) New York Jets
17) Cincinnati Bengals (from Oakland Raiders)
18) San Diego Chargers
19) Chicago Bears
20) Tennessee Titans
21) Cincinnati Bengals
22) Cleveland Browns (from Atlanta Falcons)
23) Detroit Lions
24) Pittsburgh Steelers
25) Denver Broncos
26) Houston Texans
27) New England Patriots (from New Orleans Saints)
28) Green Bay Packers
29) Baltimore Ravens
30) San Francisco 49ers
31) New England Patriots
32) New York Giants
