7,000,000

Yes, I know I said I was going to be gone for most of the upcoming week. However, I wanted to make sure I mentioned this, so I'm using the power of my mind to post from beyoooooooooooooooooooond the interneeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet.

Or, you know, I typed it up last night and just scheduled it to post this morning. Whichever explanation you like better.

But yes, in the wee hours of this morning we moved past the 7,000,000 hit mark. I realize that a lot of sites don't celebrate their traffic milestones in quite the way that we do, and that's fine. I like to do it because it's a reminder that no matter how much any of the rest of us write. . .without you folks, we're just sitting here talking to ourselves.

Don't get me wrong. Talking to yourself can be fun. . .for a while. But, then it gets a little weird. All things considered, however, I'd much rather be talking about this stuff with all of you folks.

It's been a rough couple of years here in Valhalla, that I'll grant you. . .and, yet, we continue to grow and thrive. Quite frankly, I'll put this community's fans up against the fans of any community anywhere in terms of passion for their favorite team or their football intelligence. It has been an honor and a pleasure to bring you as much as possible about the Minnesota Vikings for a little more than five and a half years, and I honestly don't see it getting old any time soon.

Naturally, I couldn't do this without the incredible staff I've managed to surround myself with over the years, with Ted, Eric, Skol Girl, Kyle, and Mark all adding so much to this site every time they put up a new story. We have a lot of different perspectives on things, but we all have the same passion for this football team that you do. . .that's what makes this site great, and that's why this site will continue to be great. We do our damnedest to entertain you folks, and it appears as though we're doing our job.

So thank you very, very much for making our little corner of the internet an integral part of your football world and of your surfing routine in general. And if anyone ever questions your loyalty or your passion for your team? Just laugh at them. Seriously, you've earned the right.
