Super Bowl XLVI: Who Ya Got?
We're about six hours away from kickoff time in Indianapolis. . .yes, the pre-game stuff has started already and, yes, I probably should have had this up a lot sooner than now. . .but it's time to put it on the table and let us know who you think is going to be hoisting the Lombardi Trophy at the end of this evening's game.
I've made my official prediction in the Super Bowl Stream we have going over at SB Nation Minnesota, and I see no reason to change it at this point. Both of these teams are, obviously, great. . .the New York Giants have won five straight elimination games, including knocking off the top two seeds in the NFC playoffs on the road. The New England Patriots haven't been beaten since Week 9, when they lost to. . .the Giants.
The Patriots are three-point favorites in this one, and they should be. . .and I think they'll cover that, but not by much. I just have a hard time seeing Tom Brady having two bad games in a row (by his own admission, he was bad in the AFC Championship Game), and I think that he's going to be supremely motivated by the loss earlier this season to the Giants. Oh, and if you think he isn't still pissed off about Super Bowl XLII, then you're apparently unfamiliar with Tom Brady.
Eli Manning has been playing great football, and this is not so much a pick against him as it is a pick for Brady, in all honesty. At the end of the night, though, I think Brady finds his way on to the short list of NFL quarterbacks with four Super Bowl rings and put himself firmly into the "Greatest of All Time" discussion, if he isn't there already.
The Pick: Patriots 31, Giants 27
So, ladies and gentlemen. . .who do you have this evening?

Not to mention, not sure if this is true
But Belichick wrote a defensive plan for the Giants back in the day that is now featured in the NFL Hall of Fame. He knows defense, too.

Didn’t know they included that stuff in the HOF…

I like that score also.
With the Giants having the ball at the end and needing a TD because a FG won’t tie. Would make for a great game.
I have 27-20 giants
Gronk and Brady are playing bum. Honestly don’t know why the pats are the favorite in this one…I think the Giants might stomp to be honest.

All week I was saying NE
But, after I looked at the spread, and studied some of the regular season stats of both teams, I’ve changed my mind.
Giants: 24
Patriots: 20
Ponder. Peterson. Percy. Purple Perfection.
If a lot of Colts fans attend the game, just because it's convenient,
there might be a heavy Manning vibe going on.
Still, if Gronkowski plays, I say New England 34 New York 28.

NE wins
Either it’s a close one or a record setting blow out. Giants already have their SB win from 4 yrs ago. If Pats run up the score, there’s no holding back!!
Vikings in 2012 will be a Wonder-ful year. Seriously!!
I also love the game of golf. My favorite golf GPS app is OptimalClub.
It is hands down the BEST golf aid you'll ever have for club distances
under current elevation and weather conditions. Stop guessing & score low!

Pats win this one
28-24, ending with Eli throwing an interception in the endzone
Giants 35 Pats 31
Giants Wide Receivers are just too good against New England’s bad secondary. Other than at QB the Giants are a better team across the board. It’s hard to bet against Brady but I don’t see them winning unless an injured Gronkowski goes off. For some reason I also think Ochocinco is going to make a big play or two despite doing nothing all season.
Is it too late to pick the Giants?
