Two Thoughts On Bounties

#1: I hope the NFL throws the book at the Saints (and more specifically, Greg Williams)...

This isn't just my "bitter Viking fan" coming out, either. To be honest, if there was one team I would root for in the abscence of the Vikes it would be the Saints. That being said, what they did was inexcusable. You cannot offer financial incentives for knocking a player out of a game via dirty play. The Saints knew their defense wasn't good enough to win the traditional way (cover receivers, pressure QB, etc.), so they had to resort to intimidation and thuggery to get the job done. It worked for a time...but now they will pay the price.

#2: Anything that reminds me of this...

...is about enough to make me vomit. But not in the way you might think.

I know that many people now will blame that loss on the Saints' dirty play. Vikings fans who watched that game, however, know that their really were no excuses...and that just makes it that much worse again.
