Some basics first. The mock draft is only going to be two rounds with no trades of any kind. Also the teams are doled out on a first come, first serve basis, and I chose the Vikings. So I'd like to get Vikings fans opinions on what their team needs are, what the team looks for in players, and generally what their strategy is on draft day.
Hello Daily Norseman. I'm Hoopers Judge from Niners Nation and would like to have your advise for an upcoming mock draft the community on Niners Nation will be holding on Sunday, April 8. (time hasn't been established yet)
I know the Vikings have some issues on the Offensive Line and at WR on offense. On defense all I know is that the secondary could use some pieces. As of right now I'm only looking at two players for the #3 pick, LT Matt Kalil and CB Morris Claiborne. I fully expect that I'll take Kalil if he's there, but please do give your opinion on the #3 pick. And before you ask I have no intention of taking WR Justin Blackmon at #3. I just don't think he's worth that high of a pick.
What I'm really looking for is what to do with the #35 pick. Since I'm expecting to take Kalil at #3, my initial guess for #35 is a WR or CB. But I'm sure there are other positions that could be addressed as well. So I'd really like to hear from Vikings fans about who they like here in the 2nd round. I'm also more then happy to answer some questions about the 49ers if you're so inclined to ask. Thanks for your time.
