Eagles problems could help solve our problems

Stay connected for news and updates

Now, I may be living in a fantasy world, but hear me out on this.

Eagles LT Jason Peters recently ruptured his Achilles Tendon, and is likely out for the 2012 season. The Eagles had problems with Vick taking too many hits last year, even with Peters healthy, and now that he is down, they will be in big trouble.

The Eagles have also put Asante Samuel "on the market" for a trade.

The Vikings sit in the cat-bird seat to pick Matt Kalil, but have expressed interest in either trading down or taking Morris Claiborne instead.

Picture this - The Vikings trade the 3rd overall pick to the Eagles for the 15th pick and Asante Samuel.

The Eagles get rid of their unhappy corner and move up to grab the best lineman in the draft. The Vikings get a good corner and still have a pick in the top half of the draft to address another need.

Now, I'm really not sure of Asante's trade value at this point, so I'm not sure if we would have to send more over to the Eagles or if we maybe could even get more from them, but all in all, I think the trade would work well for both teams.

Now personally, I like Kalil and want to see us draft him, but if Spielman really is looking to trade down, I think this is what I would want to see.

Thoughts?
