Hey Guys...

As the FA WR's are slowly dwindling down (resigning with their respective teams)... There are a few decent prospects left. It's been talked over pretty good, but I felt like I had to leave some input, on a guy that a lot of people have on their "wishlist".

Pierre Garcon.

I liked the idea of picking him up originally, but didn't want to pay all that much for him. Considering that he had Manning as his QB, and knowing that helped his image...

It was brought to my attention, that this last year (without Manning), was the best year of his career to date. I decided to look a little closer at the numbers.

He actually played all 16 games for the FIRST TIME in his career.
The Colts played from behind almost all year, so they were forced into a heavy pass offense. (Although, the Colts have been a heavy passing offense for years...)
Garcon had 3 games where he surpassed 100 yds receiving, and only scored TD’s in those 3 games…
Does this look like a WR1’s stat line to you? :

The end numbers look impressive, but he was Average Joe for pretty much 13 / 16 games. He had 3 games that inflated his numbers...

I'm not saying that we DON"T take Garcon, but there in no reason that we should pay him as a top F.A. If we sign him, it needs to be a low-cost move.
