Can we trade with Miami and still get Kalil? Possibly...

Suppose Spielman deals the third pick to Miami. Is there a chance the Vikes can still pick Kalil at No. 8? Think about it...

1. Indy: Luck

2: Wash: RGIII

3. Miami: Tannehill

4. Cleveland: Richardson

5. Bucs: Claiborne

6. Rams: Blackmon

7. Jags: Floyd or the highest rated DL.

8. Vikes: Kalil

We'd get the best OL in the draft plus a 2nd-rounder or another first rounder next year. It also assumes no other team trades into the top 8. If the Raiders were picking ahead of us, I could see the ghost of Al Davis taking the fastest player in the draft, and this scenario becoming even more likely. But alas, they were better than us...

With the additional 2nd rounder, the Vikes could possibly add Harrison Smith, Alshon Jeffery, Alfonzo Dennard, Reuben Randle, Stephen Gilmore, Zach Brown, Lavonte David or fill any other positions of need, which are many. In fact, we could fill our three biggest positions of need (CB, OL and WR) with top-50 talent.

I don't think one wants to get too cute with the draft, but this, to me, seems like a possible scenario.
