Minnesota Vikings Schedule To Be Released At 6 PM Central

In an attempt to stay positive in light of last night's news. . .and an attempt that will, likely, ultimately be futile. . .I would like to point out that today is the day that the NFL will be releasing the schedules for the 2012 NFL season. The NFL Network and NFL.com will be releasing the schedules at 6 PM Central time, and it appears that ESPN has a significant amount of time blocked off for a schedule release show as well.

We know who the Vikings' opponents for 2012 are. . .but, in case you've forgotten, here's the list.

Home Games - Chicago Bears, Detroit Lions, Green Bay Packers, Arizona Cardinals, San Francisco 49ers, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Jacksonville Jaguars, Tennessee Titans

Away Games - Chicago Bears, Detroit Lions, Green Bay Packers, Seattle Seahawks, St. Louis Rams, Washington Redskins, Houston Texans, Indianapolis Colts

Every team gets at least one Thursday night game this year, thanks to the NFL Network having Thursday night games every week from Week 2 onwards this year as opposed to just the second half of the season like they had been.

Personally, I'd love to see something like Vikings/Jaguars get a prime-time slot. I know it will never happen, but the internet whinefest that would ensue as a result would be epic.

We'll be here at 6 PM Central with the schedule. Very good chance we'll have some stuff in the meantime, too.
