The Minnesota Vikings are more than just an NFL team, they are a legacy. Passed on to me by my father and I would very much like to pass my fandom on to my children as well. All of us here live and breathe Minnesota Vikings football, it consumes us. I no longer live in MN, I live in FL but that doesn't mean my passion for them has dropped off in any way. There is a bar I go to on Sundays down here to watch Viking games that usually has at least 100 fans show up to cheer on the purple.
Fellow Vikings fans I know you are all disgusted with the state of Minnesota dicking around when it comes to the stadium issue and there is a real chance this team will move because the leaders of the state of MN lack the "Teticular Fortitude" to pass a stadium bill, let's give them some incentive, as Vikings fans let's show them our passion. LET'S DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS!
How many Vikings fans do you think there are scattered across America? One-million? Two-million?
Now ask yourself something: How much does keeping the team in MN mean to me?
Would you be willing to donate $1, $10, $50, $100, $1000?
Today I purchased the website www.savethevikings.org
I'm curious what you think? If the feedback is positive I'll get it up and running and make it a place where we as Vikings fans can donate money towards a new stadium and hopefully at some point in the near future present a SIZEABLE donation to the state to help with the funding of the stadium.
This is something that all of us can be a part of, something we all can work towards, something that will require the fundraising and grassroots efforts of all of us!
If this happens it's up to us to get the word out, it will be our message to the state of Minnesota that we as Vikings fans WILL NOT tolerate losing the Vikings!!!
