Edit: i'm an idiot and forgot a player, so my revised mock is further down the page.
no trades, just straight up:
Rd 1 -- OT Matt Kalil -- this just needs to happen, barring someone giving up a king's ransom (which, by my estimation, would have to include at least a 2013 1st, + a 2nd and 3rd this year, and maybe more).
Rd 2 -- S Harrison Smith -- his stock has risen just a bit since my first mock, where i had him going to us in the 3rd or 4th. Smith would start immediately and is the SS we've been missing for many, many years.
Rd 3 -- WR Marvin Jones -- this may actually be a little early to take Jones, but i'm not certain he'd be there in the 4th. he is an all-around smart and reliable WR with speed, height, leaping ability... oh, and he has huge hands. no drops from this guy.
Rd 4 -- LB Sean Spence -- i'm hoping Spence goes this far, b/c he has good value here. potential at MLB, but at the very least gives depth at LB and could eventually start.
Rd 4 (comp) -- KR/PR Chris Rainey -- reach?? maybe. but a full-time KR/PR should be something to consider.
Rd 4 (comp) -- WR Dale Moss -- another reach?? maybe. but this kid can develop into a stud. imagine a young core of WRs in Percy/MJones/DMoss -- i'll take that for a few years to come.
Rd 5 CB Coty Sensabaugh -- seems to have a good head on his shoulders. fast and raw, depth for now but could develop into a nice rotational guy, maybe even the eventual Nickel.
Rd 6 DT Nicolas Jean-Baptiste -- big-bodied NT. a bit of a project but could fill the 'anchor' role on the line.
Rd 7 -- BPA -- regardless of position, both Rd 7 picks should be allotted toward BPA.
what do you think -- would you be happy with this draft?? any players you'd rather have instead of those listed??
