According to the Philadelphia Inquirer's Jeff McLane, the Eagles are willing to accept just a fifth- or sixth-round pick in exchange for CB Asante Samuel.
It's interesting if true because the Denver Post reported the Eagles turned a pair of offers from the Broncos involving a fifth- or sixth-round pick and a player on Denver's roster. Philly's newfound urgency should increase the chances of Samuel wearing a different uniform by next weekend.
In my opinion he is worth a 5th or 6th with resturcture or extension to his contract. Thinking 3-4 years 5-6 mil per year.
Dude is absolutly MONEY when he plays. He not only will provide a vetern mind but the ability to mentor Cook, Help Winfield, and show Carr to intercept a opponents QB thrown ball....something we didnt do much last year.
Without a doubt dude is worth 5th or 6th round pick. 7 of 10 players in the NFL dont make the team from 6th round and down minus a select few. The vet. presence on out TERRIBLE secondary, I say without a doubt we should aquire him. 4 names!! Megatron, Marshall, Jennings, Nelson playing them 2 times a year?!? How does anyone NOT say yes to Samuel with those names in our division?!?
Tell me what you think Asante is worth....?
