Amy Senser’s Trial Set To Begin Soon

This is a tad late too, and quite frankly I hate having to write this. However, it's news worthy, so here we go.

In case you weren't aware, Mrs. Senser, wife of former Vikings TE (and current color commentator/ restaurant owner) Joe Senser has been charged in the hit-and-run death of a man last August. There's just nothing good about this story- the man, as said above, died after apparently being hit so hard he flew 40-50 feet. The debate currently rages over whether alcohol was involved, or if Mrs. Senser was ‘just on the cell phone', but the fact remains that she did not apparently even stop, simply continuing home. Defense contends she was unaware she hit someone; OK, unless I'm driving so damn blitz-drunk that I can't even recall my name, I'm not sure how I hit someone so hard that they fly 50 feet away (and leave pieces of my car at the scene, with blood on the hood) and am unaware of it. But I digress.

The fact remains that Mrs. Senser hit and killed a man, did not stop at the scene, and went home. 24 hours later her attorney told police they could come pick up the car involved.

She is being charged with three counts of vehicular homicide, and jury selection began today. The Sensers are also facing a $50K wrongful death suit from the victim's family.
