Unfortunately, I won't be able to watch the NFL Draft. I'll be busy with gigs, so I have decided to give you all my fan reaction to the following scenarios ahead of time. Feel free to copy and paste them into the appropriate open thread.

"With the 3rd pick in the 2012 NFL Draft, the Vikings select....Matt Kalil, offensive tackle from USC."

Reaction: WOO HOO! Way to go Spielman. We picked the BPA, and it addressed a position of need. I'm excited to see what's in store for us on Friday night!

"With the 3rd pick in the 2012 NFL Draft, the Vikings select....Morris Claiborne, cornerback from LSU"

Reaction: Sweet! I would have liked Kalil here better, but Claiborne is still a solid blue-chip prospect that addresses a position of need. Looks like we'll be going LT in the 2nd...maybe?

"With the 3rd pick in the 2012 NFL Draft, the Vikings select...Justin Blackmon, wide receiver from Oklahoma State."

Reaction: WTF Spielman?!?!? Are you f'ing kidding me? We've already got Harvin, Jenkins, Simpson and Aromashodu. Is Blackmon really that much better than all of those guys? ARGH!!!! Way to blow it ASSHAT.

"The Minnesota Vikings have traded the #3 pick to....TEAM ? for picks X, Y, Z"

Reaction: This could actually bode well for us. We can address a lot of needs with more picks. My fingers are crossed they don't mess it up when they're on the clock again. FINGERS CROSSED!
