Today is, apparently, the day that NFL pre-season schedules are announced, and now we know exactly who the Vikings are going to play while we all sit back, cross our fingers, and whisper "Please, for the love of God, don't let anybody important get hurt tonight."

The exact dates have yet to be determined, but we do know who the four opponents are.

The Vikings will kick off the pre-season with a trip to the West Coast as they take on the San Francisco 49ers (the only regular season opponent that appears on the Vikings' pre-season schedule). Then they're home for two straight as they host the Buffalo Bills and the San Diego Chargers. To wrap up the pre-season, the Vikings will head to Texas as they go head-to-head with the Houston Texans.

None of the Vikings' four pre-season games have been deemed worth of being the "featured" games for that particular week of pre-season action.

So, there you have it, folks. . .the four teams that the Vikings will be taking on this pre-season. The regular season schedule will be announced sometime between now and the 2012 NFL Draft.
