Assuming that the Vikings select Kalil at #3, what direction would you like to see Spielman and Co. go with the #35 selection?
At #35 we are in a good position to capatalise on a first round talent slipping to the start of the 2nd round. And it also appears likely that in this year's draft, the areas of need for the Vikings (after addressing LT at #3) at WR and CB have a couple of players with 1st round grades who may fall to us in the 2nd round.
The likes of Jeffery, Dennard, Hill, Sanu and Jenkins could possibly slip out of the 1st round and would be a nice pick up for us at #35.
The same could be said for other positions slipping out of the first. So we could potentially pick up 2 first round talents in this draft.
I'm all for BPA, especially if a mid-first rounder takes a big slide. However if the choice is between 3-4 players with a similar grade, i'm in favour of Spielman picking the WR. For me 2012 is all about developing Ponder, putting him in a position to improve and settle into his role. Having a young core of receivers to grow beside one another would be ideal. Harvin / Rudolph / Jeffery is a nice receiving core.
If we could come away with Kalil in the 1st and Hill or Jeffery in the 2nd i'd be a very happy man!
But what about you guys?
