Just replied to something in my "is it still ethical to watch NFL Football thread" and it made me recall some of my favorite football books--- Maybe I’ll start a which books are the best about football thread but let me go ahead and recommend Bringing the Heat by Mark Bowden (guy who wrote Blackhawk Down which is also a great book) and I think Tim Green the ex-defensive end wrote one called Dark Side of the Game which I remember as being a good look into what players went through to compete ……there is also Friday Night Lights and a book called The 80 yard run about High School football across america that i really enjoyed.
the only Viking specific one I can rememeber is Knights and Knaves of Autumn by Jim Klobuchar which I don't rememebr being great but do remember having some storie sI didn't remember like the Jim Marshall snowmobile thing.
Have any of you got any recommendations for great non-fiction football books?
