Walter Football already has a mock draft up for the 2013 season. I know its early but i can't help but find something to do with football when the NFL week isn't very eventful. Walter has us taking NT Star Lotulelei in the 1st round and Marquess Wilson- WR In the 2nd round. Of course im going to make some changes so here is my 2 round NFL Mock Draft.

RD 1. David Amerson- CB (N.C state). Just think how great our secondary would be with Chris Cook and David Amerson starting in our lineup. Amerson had an amazing sophomore year where he put up 59 tackles, 13 INTs, 205 INT Return Yards, 2TDs, 5PDs. Our secondary would be greatly upgraded with Cook, Amerson, Winfield, Robinson, Smith. We can never have 2 many good Corner backs when we have to face Rodgers, Cutler, and Stafford twice a year.

RD 2. Marquess Wilson- WR (Wash. State). Looking at his stats i find it hard to believe he will be making it into the 2nd round, but if somehow he slips to the 2nd round we would be dumb not to go get this guy. With our current wide receivers i would believe our starting lineup next year would be Percy Harvin (slot) and Simpson and Wilson as our 1st and second receivers. We would have a bunch of receivers that people would then fear and Ponder would have nice weapons to put up some big numbers. In 2012 Wilson put up 82 catches, 1,388 yards, 12 TDs, and a 16.9 average per catch.

Rest of the Draft.....? well i would have to say we would have to go defense for rounds 3-5. In round 3 i think we would either take the best available Defensive Tackle or the best available linebacker depending on how Jasper Brinkley will play this year. Round 4-5 i would think we would go ahead and look at Defensive end (someone to replace Jared Allen when he either retires or his production drops and round 5 i would take another Corner Back or another offensive weapon. I think we will have another great draft if it looks anything like this. With a draft like this and an improving Quarter back in Christian Ponder, there is no doubt in my mind that we will try to make a playoff run.
