We touched on this a few years back in a certain thread which I can't seem to find. And other than Deek I'm not able to remember who the discussion was with. But since we have so many new members since then this is a topic which could be quite important (and profitable) to all of us. A pay scale for all of us who leave posts, comments, and images.
Before I continue, none of this has been approved by management, but I'm just certain that they will find this idea innovative, economy boosting, and precedent setting.
Say for instance you just leave a general comment on whichever thread - this should, if the comment is half decent, garner a dime. A so-so comment a nickle, etc. LOL comments get nothing because that just wouldn't be fair to the site. When you launch into comments longer than the Preamble (see C.C. Norseman) I can see $.50 to a $1.00. For a very good fan post I can see 5 to 10 bucks, and images we might have to judge it by the recs you get. Now keep in mind that this is only for Vikings fans and while a few of our friends like PackApologist or Ted Simmons visit in friendly style, even if it's a good quote, you only get a quarter of the actual value.
Think of it. The higher quality of content of whatever you wrote the more you make. If you make 5000 GOOD comments, get ready for a $500 check. Personally, I'm 7380 comments into this and might be able to get a six pack. I see no flaws in this idea, and even if SBNation doesn't approve, it's likely that Chris, Ted and Eric will pay out of pocket, and Mark, K.J., Skol Girl and Arif will chip in, they being team players. Was trying to figure out how to make more by simply participating, but that's all I could think of at the moment. Plus Criminal Minds is on. Any other
ridiculous ways for us to make money here?
Is this a killer idea?
