May have missed the boat here on Greg Lewis -interesting stuff

Wathching NFL I saw where there was a special "Farve's 10 Most Memorable Moments" One was the pick in NO where he could have ran. They had to remind me! Uhhhg!

What did strike me is how they showed Greg Lewis' catch and said how Lewis was a nobody and how and absolutely incredible grab was oevershadowed by one of Favre's greatest comebacks and that is all he will be known for. Poor Greg. Just a nobody who got to make a spectacualar catch erased by the fact that BF threw it. But, wait a minute!

Today I am watching a replay of Pat/Eagles Super Bowl. Terrell Owens is coming off a bad foot where pins were put in his ankle. Who was the #2 WR making many big plays for the Eagles? None other than old Greg Lewis. This guy was good enough to play WR on a pretty darn good team and was making the catches for the Eagles like a madman. Not sure of his count but, the guy was a viable force in the Eagles system. Wonder how many of you thought old Greg was some flash in the pan. This guy had some pretty good skills way before he was a Viking, so that catch probobly didn't shock some folks as much as it did many of us..

Just curious as to how many knew this. I gotta admit as many of you will. When we inked Lewis it was a "who the heck is this guy?" signing. I'm sure some of you more in tune with names will go "Well duh! I knew that!" But seriously. Not many of us really did. Greg will not be in the ring of fire but if there was a ring for some of the greatest Vikings catches, he has to be in there. Just a fun note I thought would be interesting to some.
