So, who says video games are bad for you?

I was surprised to find a video about Adrian Peterson's rehab on the video game site Joystiq, but lo and behold, there it is. It turns out that part of the program for the Minnesota Vikings' star running back to come back from his torn ACL involved a healthy dose of video games. If you want video proof, it's at the Vikings' official website (and not embeddable, which stinks).

Thanks to Certified Athletic Trainer Eric Sugarman™, part of Peterson's regimen involved playing a game called "Rehab Arcade." The game involves maneuvering a ball between stacks of bricks using the leg press system in the weight room, which is a pretty cool idea. In addition, he's also apparently been playing Wii Fit, which is the single best thing about the Nintendo Wii (in my opinion, anyway), and is a pretty nice little program. Sugarman says that it helps with balance, and for those of you out there that have ever used Wii Fit, you know exactly what he's talking about.

I guess if rehab was nothing but weightlifting and wind sprints and what have you, people would probably go insane. I thought this was sort of an interesting look at Peterson's rehab. Hopefully you all enjoyed it as well.
