Woof.

I haven't been able to watch any of the action yet, but if this thing looks anywhere near as ugly as it sounds, that's probably for the best.

Going into the bottom of the fifth. . .or the bottom of a fifth, if you've been watching this. . .the San Diego Padres Chargers lead the Minnesota Twins Vikings by a score of 6-3. Neither team has looked particularly good on offense, with the Vikings having turned the ball over twice (once on a Lex Hilliard fumble, and once on Christian Ponder's first interception of the pre-season) and having missed a couple of big plays, particularly a deep ball that Percy Harvin should have caught. Blair Walsh also missed a field goal from 45 yards out, but converted one from 29 after a big punt return from rookie Jarius Wright to set the Vikings up in scoring position.

I can imagine that the team is going to get a very, very stern talking to from Leslie Frazier at halftime. I'd like to think so, anyway.

The second half will be getting underway from the Metrodome in a matter of moments. Join us for further discussion of all the action, won't you?
