Apparently the Viking's have an affinity for former Razorbacks. Due to injuries to four offensive lineman - Pat Brown (knee), DeMarcus Love (shoulder), Kevin Murphy (heat-related illness) and Geoff Schwartz (who has been diagnosed with a sports hernia), the Vikings haves signed Grant Cook, a 6-4, 318-pound guard who can also play tackle. The Vikings released undrafted rookie defensive end Eric Latimore to make room for Cook on the 90-man roster.
G. Cook, released by of all people, the Packers (on July 25), reunites with former Razorback teammates, Jarius Wright and Greg Childs, the receiving duo the Vikings picked up in the fourth round of this years draft. Schwartz, who had been competing for a starting spot with Brandon Fusco, is expected to be out for 4 to 6 weeks. So anyway injuries are starting to mount up for this O-line, which bodes not all that well for a certain Mr. Ponder, and hopefully most of these guys can retain health by the season opener on Sept. 9, at home against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Well just signed with the Vikings.. Let's do it
I'm 50% sure that this might possibly be an image of the Grant Cook that we just signed.
