So am I being overly pessimistic? I really would like the current pulse of the DN fans.. I am thinking that I would actually be not to unhappy if we pull off a seven win season that includes at least one win against CHI, DET or GB.. and I honestly think we can achieve this..

I am having a real hard time convincing myself that we can do better than that.. here's how that conversation went:

Me: "Hey self? I think with a healthy AP, Jerome flippin Simpson, Mattie K, a healthy and improved secondary, plus a viable upgrade from Ryan Shortwell.. I think we have a legit chance of a wildcard......"

Self: "Jane you ignorant slut.."

Me: "That's not my name.. though I am a slut..."

Self: "Ponder still unproven, AP still not proven to be all the way back, Simpon out 3 wks equals 0-3 out the gate, .. You still got Jamarca back there in the secondary..Blair may choke on important kicks and above all that, Pack, Lions , and Bears are all very good teams...sorry 7-9 at best"

So what do you think their record will be this year?
